Pretty solid trade I'd say. Doesn't change the fact that Fleury blows balls.

take it lightly... the ducks need to shed some of their assets in order to make the next year work with the cap
Yeah...still, they'll end up regretting that. Why must they move so much? I thought Neidermayer was coming off the books, and Selanne and Beauchemin etc?

They'll probably end up regretting it as much as we are regretting losing Chara. Mind you they still have Neidermeyer...for how long though??
I don't think they should move Pronger at all.

You know what? I'll go on record right now and say that Neidermayer moves this deadline and Pronger stays put.
Pronger's better, signed for another year - and now that you have the tissue soft Whitney back there, you need some of the grit that Pronger brings.
SensFan71 wrote:okay, so what's the going rate for niedermayer then? does he fetch the same return that burke things kaberle gets?
Dash wrote:Neidermayer is a pure rental. I would have to say his value is less than a Kaberle, Kubina, Whitney, etc. Obviously Scott is a good player and all that, but he's a UFA and not just that, but a UFA that has commitment issues. There's a good chance he doesn't play ever again after this year (thank god). Sorry, but I lost a lot of respect when he sat out nearly a full season and came back.
Kaberle should have the most value considering his age and contract. If you're giving up something, he's the best option out there cause you get a good contract.
