Thing with Bell is, he's doing what's asked of him. He's just nowhere near an elite D man, but for $500K, he's doing what Murray brought him in to do.

I'd rather sit someone like Schubert but I'm sure they have a game plan...

He's sitting too isn't he?

Granted I didn't see the game and have no idea how he played, but the very fact that he scored makes this a bit confusing.

I mean, if we're scratching people who play poorly but score, why is Heatley still in the line-up?

I believe there are around 7 million reasons not to sit Heathly. Time and time again they have not benched the star players.

Hopefully Smith IS bitter, and he intends on taking it out on the opposition. Isn't that the point of being a healthy scratch?

This just seems like arbitrary scratching players.

I'd say you are right. Smith was scratched for no reason. He's done his job. He was never brought in to provide offense. Scratching him was a stupid coaching decision. I'm already at my wits end with Hartsburg, but if he decides to just rotate the healthy scratches, I expect the Fire Hartsburg bandwagon to fill up really damn quickly. This just reeks of Hartsburg being out of ideas.

He really is starting to test my patience.

Holly molly, I hadn't looked at that stat for a while. I didn't realize it was that bad; yeah, sit Phillips.

I was listening to John Tortorella today and he really has a no-nonsense view of how icetime is earned. Just sayin'.

Because we dont have enough forwards.

Scratching players may look like a punishment, I still think the coach is just juggling the lines because he has too many average players.

Kelly and Vermette have to play with Fisher tonight, which is kind of like scratching the whole line.

Does that mean we'll see a Foligno-Regin-Winchester line? Is Hartsburg finally starting to make good lineup decisions?
