Start of a new era with the Sens?

I honstly don't see a problem with Elliott playing tonight, or for the forseable future. The team is all but mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs. I think it's a perfect time to bring him. "OK kid, show us what you can do". It's about time Ottawa tries this. I've seen a few teams in the past bring up their AHL goalies, not because of injury, but because their current NHL goalies were sucking large. The latest example would be Mason in Columbus. I'm not comparing Elliott with Mason, but I am comparing the situation.

Auld to be backup. Gerber to rot, having hopefully played his last game as a Sen.

Fixed. Smile

He'll be fine. He will be coming in knowing there's an opportunity to be Number 1 RIGHT NOW. I'm really excited to see this kid LIVE and in person :D

I completely agree. Let's see what he's made of. It's a great test, mentally. I don't think he's as fragile as some are making him out to be. He doesn't need to be coddled, he needs to be tested. Give him a 5-10 game tryout for the #1 job.

He's got a lot of expectation to live up to, though. A lot of pressure.

I think he's a great goalie, though.
