Scarlett Ice (SI) is one of the sites whose RSS feed I'd added as live bookmarks in my Hockey->News bookmarks folder, recently. (If you're not sure what RSS is, or at least not what it has to do with bookmarks or folders, and what the heck is a live bookmark, you're probably not using Firefox as your browser; I feel for you). Anyhow, that's definitely a candidate to add to "The Rumour Mill" box -- I'm just not sure if there's a lot of rumours, or just good, clean blogging, but the writing is top-notch with an easy style.

Anyhow, I was looking at some of the blogs archived in the "Best of SI" section on the front page, and these two are worth a couple of minutes of your time. It's some old hockey TV ads (remember that Flyers goalie in the Nike ads? I'd almost forgotten myself):
Hockey Commercials Pt. 1
Hockey Commercials Pt. 2

Enjoy.

OK - I see "SI's Greatest Hits" and I'm thinking Sports Illustrated, so naturally I get to thinking about the Swimsuit edition, and ...

They're funny and all, but what a let down...

Next time, I'll read the whole entry instead of just clicking.

Heh-heh. Get HD and look for "Bikini Destinations". I think even Sun-HD runs it once in a while Smile

I have a 60+ inch HD TV - but it usually has Little Einsteins going...

It's tough to find an "appropriate moment" when you have a wife and four young kids (and often, their friends) roaming the house ...

Four kids? I thought I was the only one fool enough for that. Baby Einstein rocks!

It's bad when you know the "plot" to all of the episodes...and you only recognize short snippets of classical music because of the show...

Good thing I wasn't anywhere near my coffee cup that time. Otherwise you'd owe me a keyboard.

Everytime I watch this one, I laugh. I just love the eagle-eyed look on his face.

Doesn't anyone use the Internet anymore? "You owe me a new keyboard" is a well-known Internet meme. There's even an acronym entry for it.

Edit: BTW, it's pronounced "meem"; I looked it up.

These are some great commercials:

And my favorite Spike Jonze ad:

Note: The first one embedded, but the rest didn't. I tried to fix it, but it didn't work. So I gave up. Enjoy!
