R.I.P. Penny Marshall (Laverne of "Laverne and Shirley" and successful director of films like "Big" and "Awakenings"). She was 75. Complications of diabetes. I named my gerbils Laverne and Shirley back in highschool.

Not necessarily. The NCC can just as easily give the land to DevCore. Their plan was to find the entire development including the arena, and now that the Senators/Melnyk no longer oppose the idea of playing in someone else's owned building I think the door is now open for DevCore.

They just need to talk Melnyk down from wanting it rent free and the naming rights. That's just negotiations.

Cirque du Soleil could have a semi permanent home. With their connections to the arts they could likely get a lot more acts there then just ageing rock groups and teenyboppers. Ottawa should be able to support more than a dozen "concerts" per year.

Come to Ottawa. Stay at the Casino, watch a game or some Vegas style act at the place just across the river.

I wonder if there's room to build an airport on the Quebec side.

Bob Einstein (not his given name), better known as Super Dave Osborne passed awat. He was 76.

Daryl Dragon - the "Captain" of Captain and Tenille fame, also 76.

"Mean Gene" from the WWE, you guessed it, 76.

Same day as Canada failed to medal on home soil *ever*. 2019 you suck!

Did some new information come to light, or are you just trolling again?

You don’t need information to jump to conclusions, so carry on.

I don’t know what TLDR means but I can give you my subscription info if you want.

That's all good, thanks though. Sorry, TLDR is a short form for Too Long Didn't Read / brief synopsis.

Oh really? Tell me what you know about it then.

Oh...absolutely nothing. Just the fact that he drowned in the early hours of morning after a 'get together'. Intriguing. Let's call Sherlock Holmes to figure that out.

I was wondering why there was suddenly traffic on this thread. I figured it wasn't because Karl Lagerfeld just passed away.

I didn't realize that Sharon Stone had a massive stroke until I saw her tweeting her support to Perry.
