It's funny, when he first got hit he jumped up looking mad. Then as he skates away he drops to one knee. Gerry Townend comes out to tend to him, looked like he was stretching by moving his shoulder back, and then he goes down to one knee *again*. Very odd. Hope he's not injured.

And Ceci blocked a shot with his hand. Looked to be in some discomfort.

Shoulder surgery would have had him on the shelf for most of the summer, missing the World Cup and spending half the regular season trying to catch up. Oh, and surgeries all have their inherent risks and all. But, yeah, "whatever".

There's not much risk these days.

And he was going to miss the World Cup anyway. Let's be real.

Stone's good:

Ryan Rishaug ‏@TSNRyanRishaug 29m29 minutes ago
Peters said no lineup changes so Stone is good to go.

His pain threshold must be just a lot lower than normal for hockey players. I wonder what the Habs fans are saying about it on twitter.

Gold Medal game goes at 1:45 ET. I'll have to watch it on "tape" delay as I heading to Montreal. No one spoil me, ok?

McJesus finally comes through!  Happy for the kid, that must have been a ton of pressure lifted off his shoulders.

What pressure? I didn't even know he was on the team until late

If they lost and he didn't have a goal the whole tournament long he would've heard a lot of negative comments. Laine scored. Matthews scored. What's wrong with McDavid.

Honestly don't think anyone would have cared. Matthews and laine are obviously more motivated to perform better

I disagree. Nobody would have cared in Canada if McDavid has 0 points in the Worlds. They're irrelevant over here.
