It's all over twitter. Sportsnet (and others) are reporting that the NHL expansion to Las Vegas is a "done deal".

Thoughts? How about some potential names:

The Bookies
The Odds
The Gamblers (too obvious)

Interesting news. Their population is somewhere around 600,000, but with tourists and the surrounding area, I doubt they have trouble selling tickets...for a while anyway.

Now the rumors are a4 team expansion by 2017, with teams in Vegas, Seattle, GTA and Quebec City.

Expansion fees income of $50-70m for the Sens.

Adding 4 teams seems crazy.

We go from barely any NHL expansion talk, with the NHL denying any plans consistently, to plans for 4 teams by 2017.

Feast or famine for the NHL.

Expansion is natural, but it goes without saying the existing struggling teams should be relocated first.
