I think he'll be looking for a frontloaded deal with the salary approaching $10M in the first few years and tailing off in the last few years. Pretty much what Kessel gets, I think that's what his agent will use as a comparable.

And Ottawa can sign him to an 8-year deal which they should.

Is it weird that Kessel has never scored 40 goals? I find that weird. Of course, the only time he had a legit #1 centre was in Boston.
