spector amuses me. especially his blog which the rumour section only combines the garbage out on the net. once he started quoting Eklund I knew he lost the plot. I mean only Eklund should make reference to himself.shabbs wrote:Oh, good one. Simmons and Cox have gotta be my two least favourite sports reporters of all time. Florida does not need him, they have Markstrom, plus Theodore for now. Luongo would love to go there though.
It'd be like us getting Luongo when we have Lehner in the wings, makes no sense for them.
Markstrom is putting up some pretty average numbers in his AHL season and he hasn't looked like anything special in his time in the NHL thus far.
I've said it before, I think he's the most overrated goaltender prospect in the world. He's so far from being an NHL goaltender that it might take 1/2 the length of that Luongo deal for him to really establish himself. Couldn't stand him at the WJC, hated his game, didn't like it when I saw him play in the NHL last year either. Not sure what the hype is about, he's very ordinary in the way he plays and handles himself in the net.
Huh? He's posted a .917 in the AHL so far, not too bad at all. .927 last year, .923 in limited NHL action. He's got the goods IMO, why do you say you don't see it?

Not just a Genius. Also a Jedi.
Oh man, that is screaming for a flash animation using Burke and Murray's heads and that scene...tim1_2 wrote:SeawaySensFan wrote:tim1_2 wrote:Sportsnet did a top-5 "Brian Burke moments" the other day. #5 was Brian Burke tricking Bryan Murray at the draft, and drafting Kadri when that's who Murray said he wanted. What do you mean? If not for that interview, you wouldn't know which movie Burkie went to yesterday. This is Pulitzer-level stuff, folks.
