Almost 20,000 signatures. Pretty impressive, even if it doesn't mean much.

Total waste of time.

People should shut up and put their money where the mouth is, simple as that. Sick of hearing people cry, bltch, sob, etc, etc, etc. Stop giving them money.

If I had a nickel for every time you said "simple as that".

I'd be an NHL owner.

You'd probably spend most of those nickels on NHL 13. Enabler.

I'll be you "fact of the matter is" against "simple as that".

Yup, cost nothing to sign a petition but they all have their NHL13 games. Awesome. No sacrifice there, none. They literally found one of the only ways to give the NHL money during a lockout, lol. Might as well go buy some NHL gear while they are at it.

I have little to no respect for people who complain then do nothing about it. Signing a petition is about as close to nothing as you can get.

Fact of the matter for sure.

Myself, I'm not buying NHL 13, only because the game never improves and it's $60 for a roster update.

I will find other ways to support the league.

It's $75 (at least regular price for the PS3). I have to admit, though, that from what I've seen (my kid downloaded the demo version) it's a pretty strong improvement. Looks more realistic, more moves, better hitting. The skating still feels slow but I suppose if that was more lifelike it would be too fast. Maybe just get their legs moving faster while not gaining any actual speed -- just to make it look like they are trying harder. I don't see the difference between when they coast and when they trying to pull away on a breakaway.

P.S. Does anyone know if they fixed the time keeper? Everyone else in the arena (players, refs, coaches, fans) move except for him.

The game is $59.83/98/99 depending where you get it. So $60. The Stanley Cup edition is $80.

Yeah, you say that every year. NHL 13 is more than just an updated roster - they completely changed the skating.

Taxes in?!?!? Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh! Sweet deal!!! Although buying the game would just be like saying "I'm OK with a lockout or strike."

Taxes in if you have aboriginal status or happen to buy it at Loblaws/RCSS on a no tax day.

Anyway, no hockey is just a kick in the nads to just about everyone EXCEPT the players and owners, both are rich today and will be rich when they wake up tomorrow. I really LOVE watching hockey and it's basically what gets me through the winter. Besides, there's all the poor bastards who work at the rink and probably most of all the charities.

Then what the hell was that flyer I got by e-mail saying I could save $5 and pre-purchase it for $70?
