Hey all,

For fun I thought I'd look at the round one poll results to see how the GMHockey collective has done. For simplicity I'm just going to put number of votes towards one team or the other rather than breaking down the results. You can look at the polls themselves if you really want to know.

Also for round 2 if you want to vote you better do it soon because I'm closing all round 2 polls before I leave this afternoon at 4pm EST. so I can get a more accurate picture of how GM members perform in round 2 voting.

Round 1
- Chicago vs. Calgary - Chicago wins it in 6
GM Members voted 8 to 5 in favour of a Chicago series win. :##:
Most popular choice - Chicago in 6!!!

- Anaheim vs. San Jose - Anaheim wins it in 6
GM Members voted 13 to 6 in favour of a San Jose win DOH!
Most popular choice - San Jose in 6

- Washington vs. NY Rangers - Washington wins in 7
GM Members voted 14 to 6 in favour of a Washington win. :##:
Most popular choice - Washington in 5

- Boston vs. Montreal - Boston Cleaning the Habs.
GM Members voted 21 to 3 in favour of a Boston win. :##:
Most popular choice - Boston in 5.

- Vancouver vs. St. Louis - Vancouver Cleaning the Blues.
GM Members voted 13 to 3 in favour of a Vancouver win. :##:
Most popular choice - Vancouver in 6.

- New Jersey vs. Carolina - Carolina wins a thriller in 7 games.
GM Members voted 12 to 7 in favour of a New Jersey win. DOH!
Most Popular choice - Devils in 6. :$$:

- Pittsburgh vs. Philly - Pittsburgh wins it in 6 games.
GM Members voted 11 to 5 in favour of a Pittsburgh win. :##:
Most popular choice - Pittsburgh in 6!!

- Detroit vs. Columbus - Detroit Cleaning the Jackets.
GM Members voted 14 to 9 in favour of a Detroit win. :##:
I find that one interesting since the vote was so close.
Most popular choice - Columbus in 6? Comfort

Congratulation GM members not a bad first round record!!

6 :##: to 2 DOH! with two perfect predictions as the most popular choice.

I wonder how we do next round.

There must be a way to show who voted for whom on the polls. That would be a slick addition. We'll have to look into that. cool)

Agreed. that wouldn't be too bad to check out who was fortunate (or perhaps skillful enough) to nail dead-on picks... Wink

It's cool to know who picked what in polls. Trust me, it adds to the excitement...or maybe that's too strong a word... :^^^^:

That's fine. What's bad is I went against everything I had thought about and picked SJ to win over Anaheim. I openly admitted to getting cold feet and not having the stones to go ahead with the underdog pick.

Just check the Bracket Pool thread. Three of us went 7-1. I don't think anyone here (in any of the polls) went 8 for 8 or we would surely have heard about it by now.
