Who's gonna win - in how many games - and why?

Canes are hot and it hasn't been too long since they won it all.

That said, I just don't like their defence enough to pick them.

Devils will need Brodeur to play well, though.

Hurricanes in 6. They are one of the hottest team's in the league. Ward is playing great and well even Brodeur seems to have slowed down.

The Devils are about to show everyone what they're made of. Brodeur's gonna need to come back strong now that the regular season is over. The Devils can outmatch the Canes at every position all the way down the list.

It'll be very surprising to me personally if the Canes pull it off.

New Jersey in 6.

Is Marty fully recovered from his surgery?

Can Cam Ward be the Cup winning goaltender he's shown signs of being, again?

Upset in the making, Carolina could do it...in seven.

I took my son to the Ottawa-New Jersey game last week, and the one thing I noticed above all else was about the Devils was their patience. They wait for you to Diddle up, and boom, they have you.

This series has the possibility to be quick. New Jersey in 5

Jersey in 6 but I think this one is ripe for an upset.

Devils in 5. Brodeur will get back on his game and make this one look easy.

Canes in 6. The Devils are just not playing well, consistently. The Canes have a great record lately. But I don't think the winner goes on to the SCF as has happened in all past playoff meetings between these two.

Last meeting between Marty Brodeur and Cam Ward, March 28th. Devils 1, Canes 2. Carolina got 48 shots on MB.

A grudge matchup...as Cam's Crew beat Marty's Mob in the Conference Semis--in five games--back in 2006.

Memories die hard.

Makes for great hockey.

picked the evil ones in 7 games, but this is a real tough series to handicap, Carolina is playing like a well oiled machine lately, NJ, not so much, the one name that can change it all is Brodeur.

Carolina in 6. I don't really see this as an upset. Coach Sutter will not be back.

Personal reasons for Sutter though, they slipped at the end, but he was a coach of the year candidate up until then - probably should still be.
