I'd actually rather not trade Neil, but I would like some skill brought in. We have a whole lot of...sandpaper (to be polite) on lines 3 and 4, whereas I see Detroit and Montreal having a nice, balanced lineup.

You're right, I would rather keep Neil. Mind you, if I could get Bow and that was the only thing standing in my way - Neil would go bye-bye.

I wouldn't want to trade Neiler either, and you know how I feel about Deano, but, for the right return, in a heartbeat.

McAmmond will be gone after this year, he wont be back. This team is going to have a serious youth movement going forward.

For sure! Like we haven't seen this coming since game 5 of this season...if not sooner. The guy doesn't need to be there, that's for sure...they suck way too badly to have an elite no. 1.

I wonder who (if it is directed at one person) pissed off Alfie? Not to start whipping Spezza again, but after the Pat Burns article/interview posted here a few days ago makes me wonder if he (Spezza) has changed his work ethic?

He hasnt, he has been a spoiled baby since he has been here and really has never been held accountable... The only guy who did hold him accountable was Martin and he was crucified for it.

Spezza days are numbered if the Sens dont turn it around and start playing a lot more consistant.

Why isn't Alfredsson back with Spezza and Heatley already? Maybe that's why he is upset, that he is a second line player.

Ummm, no. That 2nd line is better than our first right now. Alfi wouldnt get mad because he isnt playing with those 2, he is mad because clearly things arnt being done correctly in practice or on the ice.

Every day we are at the bottm of the division is 1 day closer to the team being blown up aside from Heatley, Fisher, and Alf.

You actually think a guy of that kind of character is really worried about who he is playing with, exspecially when the 2 guys he is playing with are playing better than the 2 guys he is not.

You think Spezza is so special that Alfi is worried about playing with him, or making him happy. Spezza is a good forward and COULD be something special, right now he is a 1st line center who is a PPG player, almost ever team has a PPG player.

Every coach has called him out, the guy was called out at a world tournament! I HAVE NEVER seen that. How can someone get called out when they wear the Canadian Jersey!

This is Spezza's 4th coach (as someone pointed out today), he is very quickly going from potential star to coach killer. I will garentee you that Murray will deal the guy before the next coach gets fired or Murray himself.

There are still a lot of questions still about his character. There are none about Alfi's. Alfi is pissed at the team and probably Spezza and Vermette to say the least.

I actually didn't read the last sentence. I don't think he cares where he plays, but I care.

When the Spezza, Heatley, Alfie line is so powerful and so dangerous 5 on 5, I think we need to ride that like a pony. The way Auld is playing, I think they can pretty much carry the team. But Spez and Heat have been playing poorly recently (or not scoring) - and let's face it, neither has Alfie been ripping it up. I think the boost would come from Alfie being back with the 2 guys that he has the most chemistry of anyone in the coarse of his career.

What's the worst that could happen? Lines 2, 3 and 4 don't score? Hmm...well we're having that issue as it is.

I think Murray and Harstberg are really trying to see what they can get out of Spezza away from Alfi... so far, safe to say it has been nothing. You might ask, "well what does that prove?" Its proving exactly what the coaches want to know. Can Spezza be the man? So far the answer is no.

Alfi is doing jsut fine out there and the last 4 games, including last night, Alfi's line has 13 points, thats production in my opinion. Alfi produces at a constant and consistant rate no matter where he is put and so do the players around him. Thats proof that Alfi is a great player and amoung a few other things, seperates him from anyone else on this team. Others guys that arnt paid as much need to play with confidence too, and thats what Alfi gives Fisher and Winchester. The other two top players on this team shouldnt need him to get them going.

You don't think he cares? Really? Putting aside professionalism and character, he's pissed off that the team cannot win or score... and considering how well the line does, is it any wonder why they shouldn't be reunited?

I dont think he cares how the team wins honestly. The team cant win without him in the lineup period, and now they cant win with him on another line? There is seriously something wrong with our team then isnt there?

The results are right there when the three of them play consistently together. I'm all for trying to spread out the scoring, but it's not working. Get the team rolling again first.

I think he's as frustrated as anyone. This team is designed to be a team that can score on you 5 on 5 almost at will - then has the checkers to frustrate you. When the big guns aren't scoring and Alfie's line can't do enough, there's really very little hope.

It's annoying to have to wait for Spezza and Heatley to heat up - but they always do. Everyone has to ride it out. Maybe that's why I want Alfie up there. Play with them, offer your elite skills to go with theirs and shake them out of their slump.

Yeah man, this is how I feel as well. It seems so obvious.

Did you guys think finding secondary scoring would happen overnight? We now have secondary scoring; we just need to get primary scoring back; it's just a matter time (a little time I hope) but we have to have faith, patience and tough it out ...
