I was sort of being facetious. I think he’s done in the NHL.

He or at least his cap hit will be an Ottawa Senator for a 3rd rd pick. His salary will not.

I would assume LA wants him to basically quit so they can terminate his contract by mutual consent and then he can go back to Russia. Why they ever signed him.....just an absolutely idiotic move.

9 points in 17 games on the 3rd worst team for goals for in the league? Not too bad really.

Remember when it was mentioned that the Leafs had basically no injuries last season and that it won’t happen again? Remember when it was mentioned that their LTIR offseason strategy would cost them dearly when this years injuries inevitably hit?

Points and goals don’t matter to most on here. Example: Hoffman.

Crosby out 6 weeks after sports hernia surgery.  Here is Toronto's chance to climb back into a wildcard spot.

Mind you, 3 guys below them with enough games in hand to pass them.

When you're a defensive liability and total bunghole, the points don't really matter.

That’s my point. I may have missed. I think Kovalchuk is done whether he is producing or not.

Apparently he's well liked by his teammates off the ice.

Tyson Barrie has been an awful fit and Morgan Reilly is super overrated. If/when Freddy gets hurt their season is over

Yeah, so much firepower up front though. How can they be so bad. Their defence I guess. Gm should be canned what a crappily run team

That 4-2 score with the empty net goal at the end actually really flattered the Leafs. Andersen made multiple 10-bell saves.

Deal Nylander plus one of their supposed top-5 for a real top pairing D-man when Marner is back.

But it's easier to fire the coach.
