That's asking a lot from their goaltending corps.

Two more series done, two others could be over today. Penguins in Philly at 3 and Preds in Colorado at 7. That's a weird start time, 5PM local.
Hobiesens, Tim and Lagoon continue to lead.

Nobody has Colorado and everyone picked 4 or 5 games, so no one will be gaining advantage from that series, regardless of any outcome, tonight or Tuesday.

But if the Penguins win tonight then Tim takes over the lead by 1 point over Hobiesens.

Lagoon is the only one who picked Philly.

I will never pick Pittsburgh. Wouldn’t matter if they were playing the worst in the league like Buffalo or Ottawa. 

Despite a hattrick in a 5-point game for Couturier the Flyers give up *four* to Guentzel and blow a 4-2 lead at home to the Malkin-less Penguins.

28 goals against in 6 games. That's not very good.

Man, I feel for Philly fans. They're gonna have to give something up to get a goalie this off-season. Also, why in the world did they give Elliott a 2 year contract?

Why can’t Nashville and Winnipeg be the Stanley Cup final? I have no idea who will win that series, but I’m leaning towards Nashville only because of their experience.

Apparently they’re sitting on the best goalie prospect out there... take it for what it’s worth.

At any rate they seem to believe in that prospect and likely needed a stopgap. They should have gotten someone else. Why the flyers always cheap out on that position is beyond me. They let go of bobrovski. Stupid move.

Maybe they make a move for Anderson? wouldn’t cost them an arm and a leg. Probably flip us one of their goalies and a good Dman prospect. Something like that.

Philly is going to be an Eastern conference beast in 2-3 years. They have so many high-end prospects and players about to hit their primes. They have $10M of cap space heading into next season with no key RFAs or UFAs to sign. They may bring in a stop-gap goalie until Hart is ready (Anderson makes a ton of sense) or decide to run with a combination of Elliott/Neuvirth/Mrazek and buy out one of them = +$2M cap space. Umburger's cap hit will also come off the books as a buyout ($1.5M) at the end of the season. That's roughly $13-14M in cap space without having to make any changes to their roster.

I would not be surprised to see Philly enter the Karlsson (and Ryan?) sweepstakes. They would be infinitely better and would compete with Pitt/Clb/Wash in no time. I won't begin to speculate but man would Philly ever be good if they could move a package of picks, prospects, and Andrew MacDonald (cap dump) for Karlsson + Ryan. And there is always that Ryan to Philly connection...

To Philadelphia: Ryan, Karlsson, Anderson
To Ottawa: Stl conditional first rd pick (top-ten protected), Frost, Konecny, MacDonald, Lindblom, Neuvirth

It wouldn’t surprise me if I only get the TB series right. After a dull 1st round competition wise, I can’t ask for a better round 2.

I can’t make an educated guess because I’m unsure who is the best but that’s often the opinion of some analysts. That’s why I said “take it for what it’s worth)

Yeah I guess I can chime in also since I don’t think Boston will beat Tampa. Bergeron is hurt and Tampa’s had time to rest. And if there’s a god toronto isn’t making it past the first round.
