I really don’t mind if these playoffs don’t stretch that long. Will give GM’s more chance to evaluate their teams and work on how to improve their teams. Ie: more time for Dorion to work out a deal or two and not rush into something stupid

All but 4 GMs will have all the time in the world come tomorrow night. Also, it's not like GMs have a ton to do during the playoffs. Their rosters are set. Other than watching the games and making suggestions to the coaching staff if they see fit, they're always doing roster evaluation.

But those that miss on the cup, the only 3 other GM’s will likely be the ones trying to better their teams even more. 3 out of those 4 have been linked to kalrsson on top of it.

Not a fan of NHL's scheduling. Multiple games on at the same time was the rule, rather than the exception. Having to wait 3 days for game 7 while the other 3 series are done is the pits (how do NFL fans survive in the playoffs?)

That said, round 3 begins Friday at 8pm. Made sure you get your picks in by puck drop.

It's not the NHL's fault that the Preds' arena was already booked tonight. Two days between games isn't the end of the world...and if one of the other series had gone 7, we probably would've had a game last night or tonight anyway.

I do agree that the scheduling in the first/second round wasn't great. They missed the opportunity for some triple headers on the weekend and had a bunch of seemingly unnecessary overlap. One nice thing about the NFL is that they always stagger their playoff games to ensure people can watch all of them, one at a time.

It was not the NHL's fault this time but there were plenty of other examples of strange scheduling.

Ok, on yo round three. Hobiesens and Lagoon tired for the lead with yours truly 2 points back in third place. Round three starts tomorrow at 8 with Washington at Tampa. The Western finals will begin on Saturday with Vegas at Winnipeg.

Great series. Too bad one team had to lose. Once again, the West will be tough for me to decide.

I'm going strictly on the fact that the Vegans are rested and didn't just play Smashville 7 games.

I'll take Vegas in 6 and Tampa in 5.

Also I would like to point out that while the earlier games in the WPG/NSH series were decent, tghe last three were blowouts and game 7 was pretty poor from an entertainment perspective. Rinne shat the bed and then a couple terrible penalty calls lead to other goals....not good.

I like my Washington pick. I’m counting on Backstrom being back soon though. It is nice to see the Caps can keep winning without him. Burakovsky seems close to returning as well. Those injuries are the reasons I picked the series to go the full 7 games.

I totally forgot and didn't even watch the game last night.
