Thanks! It was their fault and not mine, I was innocent and took some posters words as gospel.... Sarcasm

In all seriousness, I think I did accept blame for 'buying the hype'.  And I'm fairly certain I wasn't propping up prospects on a pedastool and proclaiming they're the next great ones...I don't follow prospects pre-NHL draft and use NHL/TSN projections on whether a player is going to be good or not...forgive me if I didn't pay attention to their 'probability of being a bust' rating, that's on me for sure. /sarcasm

We all have our moments. As much as I like to toot my own horn about being right about Hoffman there will always be a Petersson to remind myself I'm not always right.

Be careful, if hogberg doesn't pan out you'll be the number one fan we get to pick on on that one. Sarcasm

Yep, I have attached myself to the Hogburglar band wagon. I was also wrong about Hoffman not being worth resigning. Also, I said we should've kept Lehner over Anderson, despite my undying love for Matrix.

All that said, let's go Sens. Dion's in the lineup.

For a second I thought they were in Boston and Karlsson "won" the home team's ceremonial faceoff. Then I realized they were in Ottawa. Can you imagine though? He'd have been roasted for sure.

Go Sens.

Shots are 6-3 Boston and Sens are up 2-0 five minutes in.

I can't even.

My sens to win the east best at 25-1 is looking possible...

I took 'em to win the Cup at 45-1.

Back to last night's game, it obviously goes without saying that EK was phenomenal (as usual).

Marchand and Bergeron were the only two Boston threats last night. Very noticeable on the ice. McQuaid also threw his weight around quite a bit. If we match up against Boston there is no reason why we can't beat them.

I am also pretty confident that Pageau is one of the best shut-down forwards in the league. Between him and Burrows I see a lot of star players not wanting to match up against the Sens.

What a treat to watch karlsson, we're so lucky that he plays for our team and we get to watch him every night.

That sequence that lead to Hoffman's goal with Stone getting the puck back, Phaneuf dishing to karlsson and then karlsson passing toHoffman was neat to watch.

So refreshing to have four solid lines to roll.  No neil, no lazar, just experienced nhl players.   Great stuff.

What I find funny about the whole "The System" thing is that I have yet to read or watch a thorough explanation of what they're doing now.  I get certain aspects of it (pushing players to the outside, LD stepping up, etc), but how and why has no one broken down hockey Xs and Os into pictorials or videos and provided them to the general public?  We see this in football coverage ALL THE TIME, but it sure seems to be missing from hockey coverage.  Pierre McGuire actually explained a bit of it this morning on TGOR, but to understand this you need some sort of visual aid.

Also, the Sens are pretty much where they would've been last year had Turris not got injured. Boucher also has better players at his disposal than Cameron did. I don't mean to diminish what Boucher and his staff are doing - I love it - but I think maybe a little too much is being made of it when we have a pretty solid team to start with.
