If we trade brown and our first I'd like something pretty damn good in return. Someone like Drouin. Add someone to make it happen but not just some average top 6 forward.

Why do you think we need a top 6 RW? Ryan and stone can hold those spots, it's on the LW that we've got a hole.
Chabot and white likely in the NHL next year. Or at the very least will be the first to get called up.
Now may be the time to orchestrate a deal as it looks like we have some players in the AHL that won't get a shot. A nice package to get us a top 6 LW.

Kelly is the 3RW at the moment. Lazar can also move up there.

He'd be an upgrade on a few players in the bottom six. I suspect he would bump Pyatt down to line 4 and Kelly and Lazar would rotate in and out of the lineup.

Pyatt is quite passable as a third liner, forgot about him.   If it's lazar or kelly, then your roster lacks depth in a big way

Purcell is fine, but I'd hope we're not using any kind of an asset at all.  A 7th is more than enough.  Everyone and their cat thought he was a fit here when boucher was hired,  but we didn't show interest and now we are?

Yeah I'm not knocking Pyatt. I think he's better off on the 4th line because that tiny body of his along with his energetic style can't work forever with too many minutes.

Yeah, plus he can move up and down the lineup if need be from the 4th.  Purcell makes 1.6 - that's a lot more than I thought.   Even at half price now this high

Pyatt is on the fourth line with Lazar and Neil. Although he was playing well last night and may have gotten more ice time.

Kelly is a LHS who can take a face-off, has a wealth of experience and a Cup Ring.

Pyatt is lucky to get another shot at the NHL and is making the best of his opportunity but he is a fringe NHLer. He's not a third liner, although he can step up into that role for a short stint.

Bottom line is that both of them are best suited as fourth liners and the fact that both are in the lineup attests to the shallowness of our depth. Pyatt has better offensive numbers but I would take Kelly for his experience and faceoffs.
