That would be a great site down there. I was just there last month for a ramones exhibit at he queens museum and it seems to me like there's enough space to build an arena. Easily accessible by public transport and would likely increase revenues to surrounding businesses in the winter months. It's a nice part of queens.

I'm kind of surprised that the ow ship is complaining about revenue lost du to less seats than regular NHL arenas. I mean they knew that going in there. It seemed like a bit of a scramble when they headed over there.

Well, new owners. Sure, they knew the size of the arena but I guess Wang sold them a bill of goods. Or maybe they went in already thinking about moving. The idea of moving is not new. Barclays was a disaster from the start and both parties want to back out of the deal.

$16.5 over 3 years is my current guess.

Why more than nyquist, I ask?

Because 27 to 17 is not as good as 27 to 29.

While it's very true that Hoffman has only had two seasons and there's still doubt if he can continue at this pace, in Nyqvist's case that doubt has to be higher -- he had 28 and 27 so very similar, then a drop off to 17. And 13 of those 17 were scored in the first 33 games, which means he had 4 goals in the last 47 games of the season.

Oh, boy, the lawyers sure must love this guy:
General Hockey Talk - Injuries, signings, factoids + other news from around the league - Page 64 Cn-o374WAAAEu0y

This stems back to an incident that happened about a month ago.

Evander Kane of the Buffalo Sabres has been arrested for “misdemeanor criminal trespass” among other charges, according to the Buffalo News.

Police sources had said that Kane was facing “non-criminal harassment charges” after a June 24 incident involving two women at a local club called Bottoms Up. (A third woman involved in the incident had yet to come forward to police as of early July.

Kane had been in Canada, and voluntarily turned himself in when three Buffalo police detectives met him outside City Court around 11 a.m. on Friday.

Think GMTM will try to offload him? I'm sure he'd have takers across the league.

He'd have to do it for cheap now, there's no way this guy has the same value he did before.
