They play him that now so they can avoir playing him 9 mille à year in 3 years is what i imagine they are trying to do.PTFlea wrote:Ev wrote:My god is everyone fellating Seth Jones who has been nothing more than a #3-4 d-man so far
At 21 years old though, and with the potential to be a number one or two guy as soon as next year. When he figures everything out, he could easily be a 50+ point D-man who is a devastating hitter/crease clearer. I love that deal for Columbus, but it ends when he's at his absolute peak at 27.

Jones just signed for 6 years, so he's out of that.

20 points in 41 games last year with Columbus though - and he'll be given every single opportunity to succeed as a top pairing guy. It's a gamble I would have gladly done as GM.
Now...Columbus is in cap HELL though. Hartnell and Tyutin available for cheap! Perhaps Dubinsky, Foligno and Bobrovsky too.

Ends up signing for $2.5M x 4.Flo The Action wrote:http://www.tsn.ca/report-six-teams-interested-in-isles-f-martin-1.517370
4X4mill? Are they Cussing crazy?
In what universe is he worth that?

But he said even more by signing Okposo.
