Nice deal for both sides, if true.

Cherry not a fan of what Florida has done.

1) I feel kind of sad when I look at the Florida Panthers and all the new guys. What a super job Dale Tallon did putting that team together.

2) Now, all the changes, Why? Nobody understands it. Rest assured Dale had nothing to do with Gudbranson going to Vancouver.

3) Gudbranson, 6’5” 230 pounds a tough stay at home defenceman which everybody’s looking for. He’s great in the room, future captain….

4) And now the draft? Are you kidding me? It will be interesting to see how they do this winter.

I agree that Tallon is a GREAT GM and Florida may have taken a huge step back by "promoting" him. But we'll see...

Radulov couldn't find any takers at his asking price so he goes back to the KHL, signing with Salavat.

Free market. I am not at all surprised if he found what he was looking for (if not more) in the KHL. Shorter season, less violent game, no taxes, more perks for the stars. Maybe he is not as motivated to try his skills against the best in the world as he is to make more money. He should still be playing for Russia in September so he will satisfy his curiosity of how he stacks up against "the best" there.

I know it's been said a million times -- European players value Olympic gold (or IIHF Gold) more than the Stanley Cup (or, at least, way closer to the Stanley Cup than NA players do). I was still fairly young when I came here so I don't share the sentiment, but it must be different for those who grew up to adulthood in that environment.

Not arguing that, but regardless, he could always make *more* money in the KHL than in the NHL. If it was only about the money it would be a no-brainer. Russian *star* players get more, don't pay taxes and get a ton of perks (free house/food/chauffeur/women/vacations/etc). The season is much shorter so they have a real off-season to spend all that money, and let's face it, the game is nowhere near as dangerous.

So if Radulov tried to come back to the NHL it was not about the money.

Would you give Hoff an equivalent deal? Is he worth $6x6?

No way, although his camp will use it big time. Just can't see it happening, FF is alot more proven and better defensively. I would say this is the framework for Mark Stone's next contract more than anything.

The max Hoffman should get is $5M. Anything more than that, he needs to be shipped out.

Not imo. 4.75 x 4 is about right. Maybe 5 years max
