If you think he's a puppet, you're flat out wrong. Arizona is getting creative on a shoestring budget. They're going to bring in someone experienced as thy assistant GM. This is a million times better than hiring someone like Burke.

Sounds like he'll be a second fiddle to Tippett. I have no idea concretely but it sounds like he'll be more a puppet in terms of money balling figures than a stand alone gm. Still impressive though, I bet Arizona didn't want Tippett doing both jobs in name, so they hired this guy to cross the ts

Apparently former Habs Captain and head coach Guy Carbonneau "denounced the organization a few months saying that the team had become less and less accountable under the guidance of Bergevin and Therrien"; Geoff Molson found out about this and met with several former players (Carbo, Lambert, Houle and others) to discuss these comments.

Pretty soon I'd fire them both. Useless.
