Maybe there is an NHL '14 league somewhere we haven't heard about ('cause we're all out of highschool) and this kid won the "Be a GM" tournament.

Seriously, good for him. That's astounding.

Pierre wasn't very enthusiastic about him this morning. Didn't say anything too negative, but he clearly is not a fan of analytics (he has to tread a fine line since his employer will definitely want to use analytics in their broadcasts in some way) and was basically saying "Yeah, good luck to you".

By the way, Stone/Ceci and company set to battle Team USA starting tomorrow morning, 9:15AM.

When it comes to analytics he is far from the minority.

It's interesting, though, that this "kid" used to play hockey at what looks like a fairly high level.  He is not a "stats geek" how most "hockey guys" perceive them.  

But to get back to your original point, yes, he is, but so is Don Cherry in many ways, but he's still a beauty

i think 26 is a bit too young. how much experience has he had with contract negotiations, exit meetings, talking with players that are 10 years and up his elder. he's going to get slammed left and right. this is a stupid move to say the least and no, i don't believe 26 is old enough to be a GM. you need life experience. which you basically lack at 26.
