(New York - New York)

With Turris and Methot already out of the lineup, the Sens put up a good fight for about half the game, before blowing a gasket and the lead. The 5-2 loss (and after last night's wins by, well, everyone ahead of them) puts them 5 points and 3 teams behind the last playoff spot.  They also lost Michalek to an identical injury that sidelined him for 16 games in December.   Chiasson is slated to slide in.

The other New York City team (hence the "New York - New York" subtitle) is in town for another dreaded afternoon game.  The Rangers have rebounded from their recent poor play and are 6-3-1 in their last 10.  The Sens should be pretty rested as it's been quite a while since they've played a full sixty minutes.

GO SENS GO!!!

Turris is not expected until at least after the All Star break. Michalek broke a finger blocking a shot, same hand (not sure if same finger) that had him lose 16 games in December. No timetable yet as they don't know if he'll need surgery. Chiasson (who has been a healthy scratch 5 times in the last 9 games) will replace Michalek.

Urg. At least the Rags haven't been too good lately.

The bright side is that if this game is crap, there's football to switch to.

On the plus side, turris needed to get healthy and stone is too good not to bounce back.

Injuries are really taking their toll. Stone is having a sophomore slump. I'm positive that going forward into his career he will be much better.

6-3-1 in their last 10, 2 game winning streak. I think their slide is over (as may be the Habs' after a gritty come-from-ahead SO victory over the Babcock Effected Leafs.

Anderson starts. That was expected. Question is, will he finish?

Chiasson in, Turris and Methot still out.

Turris and methot (and michalek) out really hurts. Two big pieces there. I imagine methot was playing hurt before being out.

So Nash isn't playing... That's a relief.

Puempel with pageau and stone on line two. That's got potential. If that could prove to succeed it might be good to keep puempel with pageau when players come back from injuries.

Prince still on the fourth line. Wtf. Is Prince not playing the way Cameron wanting him to play?
Boro in the first pairing with karlsson. That hurts the eyes.

Seriously, why isn't the third line Prince-lazar and Chiasson?
Cmon!
