Here's a spoiler: We'll still be mad or up in arms about something by the end of the game.

Jared Cowen just gave up a breakaway for no particular reason.

I wish people would shut up about shots. How many of these shots are actually dangerous? Not many

He's played 1.3 years so far. He's 20.

Just checked the stats on the players (forwards) drafted immediately after:
Rychell: 49 games, 6 assists
Mantha: 0 games
Sinkaruk: 1 game, no points
McCarron: 0 games

The names after that I didn't even recognize.

So the only anomaly, really, is the number of games played.  He should have been in the minors and until they change it, yes, that means spending one more year in junior.

He had absolutely nothing to do in junior

What an embarrassing failure by the Ottawa Sens.

Guess not getting blown out by (and giving up fewer than 30 shots to) the best team in the East is something.

The Caps played a perfect road game tonight

BoroCop had 6 minutes...Cowen had 11. Maybe try Boro on that 3rd pairing and let Cowen take a seat...he's been horrid in the past couple after having a decent stretch.

Boro went way out of his way to deliver a hit at the Caps' bench on the first goal. Mind you, I'm not sure why Karlsson thought that just standing around at center ice when the other team had the puck was OK. Maybe he was admiring Boro's hit.

Had to fast forward a lot of that. Near impossible to watch.

If we're not gonna use Prince, why not waive him? Who cares?

We need some skill on the left side, or we need Michalek or Mac back bad. Nothing against Smith, but I'd rather see him with Pageau if he must play left.

Perhaps I wake tomorrow to news of Cowen being waived? Dare to dream...

Well, they don't want to lose Prince for nothing, but it appears he must be in Cameron's dog house, since Boro is still playing as a forward. The situation right now is a little weird, and you gotta kind of wonder if it's a disagreement (again) between the coach and GM about who should be playing.

Anyway, that was a bit of a snoozer last night.

Well, it's not Cowen being waived, but with Lazar out, maybe they'll play him up front Smile

Here's the hit, by the way:

Wasn't vicious, a bit early (just as the pass got to him, but the pass sailed by as it was too high, so he never had possession). More shoulder than head and they were both going pretty close to the same direction (so not a head-on). Didn't take much of a hit to knock MacArthur out long-term on the second one. Could be a trend -- players coming back from concussion too early and then getting knocked out a second time on a lesser hit.

Seriously, if Lazar is out more than just a couple of games, does Prince still sit? The thinking for putting Boro in is that Boro can play that 4th line banger role better. Lazar had a similar role, as in not-expected-to-score. But with three forwards out, surely they'll either play him or swap him for another Bingo callup?

I think he does just enough to show value to a potential trade partner. A strong hit, a decent pass here and there... plus the size will get him some suitors on it's own.

I think he could be part of a deal for Johansen for sure.

Yeah Cameron getting a little hot under the collar making questionable moves. As much as I expect more out of Prince, I think he'd be better in the forwards group over Boro
