Oh yeah? They must have got it from The Score. Last story that was broken on "In The Box" was that jock sniffer, Steve Lloyd, had been texting back and forth with Brad Fritsch the previous day.

The Score's strength is in consolidating Twitter info and bits of info from around the web. It's nice to see them get a scoop from time to time too.

And Friedman. Still, their features are good and they update constantly. It's a good hub.

Giordano looks like he deserves to be paid like one of the best. If Karlsson were signing a deal today, it would be more than 9 million. When his current deal expires, he could be asking for 12 Schmill or more!!!

You know i believe he will feel like he took the hometown discount with his last deal. I wouldn't be surprised if we had to pay 10 mill a season on a the long long term. To be honest I hope there's not too much arguing and we get him signed. I want him a sens for life. None of this Dung with how we lost alfie.

That'd be $7.5M for 8 years. Not sure I'd be comfortable with doing that with ROR...and it's not like our cap situation could really allow for that right now either.

All that to say, there's no chance ROR winds up here.

That's pushing it for ROR... 7.5 I am not sure he's worth that. 6 for sure though.

My priority would still be a top 4 leftie defenseman.
I don't feel like its a good idea to bring a new guy here and giving him dozens of millions while guys like Turris take hometown discounts.

But why are they talking about an extension before the draft for a player who is still a year away from free agency?

7.5 per could also be ROR's way of saying f*** you to the Avs as well. He was passed over in favour of Landeskog for the "C" and tried to get out before by signing an offer sheet.

I think the D in Ottawa is fine, let them keep growing, people are way too impatient with the blueline here. There are literally no better options out there right now via UFA that wouldn't cost a ton of money.
