Four teams interested in Leher. Talks will continue into the evening. #Sens

Are any interested in Lehner?

Your sources is Bruce? Dear lord.... Facepalm

No but I trust Brucie just as much. If he beats me to a scoop, I'll happily accept defeat to one of the best in the biz.

That would be a solid return, actually. We suddenly need cap space and I think it will be used to land a big fish. In spite of PHILLIPS' CONTRACT!!!! Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh!

Buffalo does need some 4th liners and a goaltender. If you could get the 31st overall and 51st I think that is a very solid deal and you could turn that into another 1st rounder no problem at all.

Honestly, I wouldn't have a huge issue with Lehner going to Buffalo, not like they are a real threat or will be for sometime.

#Sens are closing in on a deal for Lehner with the Sabres. Expect a No. 1 pick to be part of the trade and perhaps David Legwand.

Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh!

Haha no way. If they get that 21st and get rid of Legwand that's just genius.

And if Lehner blossoms into the #1 goalie everyone knows he can be? Ugh. I'm not going to like the outcome of this, no matter what, methinks.

I've never really been one to pile on Legwand and I think he will be useful for Buffalo, but "big picture" this is pretty ideal. Tons of cap moved out and I strongly believe it will be put to use.

Meh, Sens are building a team to win the cup and they need depth for that. If Lehner turns into a #1 goalie, so be it. Can't worry about what other teams do in all honesty.

I can't disagree. A late first plus a contract dump would be a respectable return for Lehner. I just worry about giving up on the guy when he's so young.

Yeah, I think we'll eventually regret getting rid of Lehner, but if the players don't like him, and management has soured on him, then that's that.

"If" indeed. I've never been a huge believer. NEELY and I have locked horns on this. Goalies are getting to be a dime a dozen and getting a 1st for any goalie is a coup, IMO.

Remember when Bryan Murray had 2 late first rounders in a deep draft?

2 picks can be used to trade up for a true stud

i don't understand why it matters if he becomes a #1, which he should. They would have gotten a #1 somewhere so it's not like we're really helping them a lot

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Robin Lehner heading to BUF. Sounds like Lehner and Legwand to BUF for 21st pick. Pending trade call. Not official yet.
