Don't discount what Ryan did through most of March and earlier in the year. He was also great in the OT, last night. He's struggled a bit, offensively, and I'm sure playing through a broken finger hasn't helped his scoring touch, but he's contributed in so many other ways. Before you heap all the praises on King Karlsson don't forget the many plays where it was Karlsson playing cowboy and Stone passing him on the back-check and diving to prevent a big scoring chance.

What was wrong with Wiercioch's play last night? And, in fact, the whole team's defensive play? They made some really strange decisions in the O-zone (Turris' homage to Spezza that led to the goal, passing back to the point when you had a clear path to the net, whiffing on a pack at your feet) but they owned the Wings in their own zone. Hammond allowed one goal and didn't get a star -- that should tell you something.

He must be nursing an injury...the man has forgotten how to shoot a puck.

Well he had a broken finger, and he continued playing. Can a bone heal if he's constantly using his hands like that? When they have to freeze it to allow him to play through it, certainly he loses something and won't be as effective/accurate. How long ago was the Montreal game where Petry blind-sided him with a late hit and he went back-first into the boards?

If his bone wasn't going to heal, he wouldn't be playing.

I was just thinking that Stone, Pageau, and (obviously) EK are my favourite Sens at this moment. They will the team to win.
Stone is just lights out. I can't believe how late he fell in the draft. I think all those knocks on his skating early on probably helped his development.
JGP brings so much energy that he somehow woke Condra up.
EK is a beast.

Good time to be a Sens fan.

Ddrafting injured players is a 50/50.
Sometimes you get Mark Stone, sometimes you get Jarrod Maidens.

Are the odds even that good when drafting any player in any round even if they're healthy? I never thought so.

Having said that, the run we've had was great and all but it would be nice to lose a few and help our precious draft position.

you can play through it during the season then get the surgery after the season. All I know is if we make the playoffs, Ryan might be very clutch for us

What a gritty win! Stone is just awesome, that whole line is awesome right now

Wish Florida had won, but this was big to keep up with Boston.

Well, of course they have to have very good potential to begin with.

No professional athlete is getting surgery on a broken bone weeks after it happened. You either get it right away, or it doesn't require surgery.

We have been in the playoffs for a while now (every game is critical). He's been pointless in 11 of the past 13 games, and only has 1 goal in that stretch. This is the opposite of clutch.

He is clearly playing through injury. You and all of us have zero clue about what he has, so it's not right to judge. Last night he was very good when it mattered most in OT.

If Ryan and Zbad and Hoffman can catch fire again....look out, because one thing's for sure, Turris, Mac and Stone are amazing and Pageau, Condra and Lazar have always been amazing.

Also, go Hammond...Diddle, we could have lost in the final 2 minutes if he hadn't been on the ball, although I thought we deserved to win that game 5-1 personally.

He had a couple of OT chances, yeah, including the 2 on 1 when he made a horrible decision to try to pass Karlsson the puck. And his shootout attempt was beyond awful. So yeah, it does look like he's dealing with an injury, but then maybe he should be the guy demoted to the 4th line and not Hoffman. Bobby is not really helping the team win at this point (1 goal in the last 13 games).
