Hopefully Bryan Murray wakes the Diddle up for a change and stops being a Front Bum

What happened?

Honestly, Sens dominated large portions of that game and still lost. Bad teams find ways to lose and right now the Sens are a bad team.

Sens need some serious help and creativity on the PP up front. They don't have any specialist and right now they need some but making a trade for a short term fix would be just about the worst thing he could possibly do.

So far the entire road trip has been a fiasco. It won't be long until they are completely out of the playoffs and hopefully Murray "wakes the f*** up". Again I feel bad for him on a personal level but he needs to stop letting the players run the team.

The flyers game was a fiasco? Laugh1

So Anderson decided to blame the D men and the team in front of him again for the goals via media? The guy has played amazing but like a large portion of last year and years prior he is showing it's tough for him to be a team guy... sometimes he just shoots off at the mouth and I don't care if it's 100% true (and it is) you can't say it in the media, it's throwing guys under the bus.

Right now is the time to move Anderson, his value will never be higher and there are teams looking for a goaltender (Minny without question). If they can get a 1st rounder in this draft for him you 100% do it at this point, I think that would shut a lot of the fan base up right now. Get Backstrom back in the deal just to have a backup and call it a day. He might also relate better to Lehner.

Combined with yesterday? Yah. Fact is they lost to two teams below them in the standings when they had to win. I'm not surprised or upset but it hasn't been good.

Entertainment wise is was barf worthy.

Like I said yesterday though, this is a team people are going to need to be patient with right now and give it a season or two for things to start clicking but Murray is going to have to make a move because the entire city, fan base, and the team itself has been waiting for one since Nov. I get the human side of things with Murray but if he's at the helm he needs to start doing his job and he's not.

He said he was screened on a couple of goals. not a big deal.

It was more than that, wasn't just him shrugging his shoulders.

It's not that I even disagree with him because I don't.  I'll back track a bit though and say if there is one guy that should be saying these kinds of things it's your MVP and that's what Anderson has been all year.

The part about being tough is right though... the tough guys are not nearly skilled enough and the the skilled guys are not nearly tough enough.  This team is going to improve as Lazar improves IMO, the timelines will be very similar.  Watching a guy like Wiercioch last night was upsetting because there is absolutely no jam to his game, not even a little.  Too passive, too weak, too soft.

If your goalie is showing frustration, it is likely that some players are being told the same stuff every single day about d-zone coverage and they just don't/can't do it. It is probably the same players for years and through different coaches.

Wiercioch is awful in his own zone, worst on the team right now and it isn't lack of ability, it's the fact he refuses to play an NHL game, he's still in the BCHL and NCAA.  Anyone can be physical and hard nosed, it's the will to do it that isn't built into everyone.

Cowen is making mistakes still but they are not as costly or the same ones over and over and over.  Even then you can put up with some of his crap because he will get physical and do the dirty things needed to win.

I'll say one thing though, since Borowiecki has been out the Sens have been buttery soft to the point it's embarrassing.  IMO that's a guy who is a large piece for this team going forward and I am not talking about logging heavy minutes, just the attitude and hard work he brings every single practice and game.

Good reading this morning, Neely. I always know after a stinker I can count on numerous posts breaking it all down. Not much else to say, really. It's a critical part of the season, and they stunk it up.

I guess we're finding out what guys like BoroCop and Neil really mean to this group.

Boroweicki for sure... Neil yes and no. A player of Neil's type? 100%. Neil himself? Might be time for a new voice.

I am not sure if this is sarcastic or not... lol. Don't think I really went nuts on anything or anyone other than Anderson's comment after the game which I happen to agree with.

It strangely was not sarcastic.

You contradicted yourself. He doesn't refuse to play the game, he just can't do it because he doesn't have the will or the ability, which isn't something you can learn.

Wasn't very clear but I meant he refuses to be as physical or as hard as he needs to be to play in the NHL on a consistent basis. It's the will to do some of the dirtier things and to win puck battles, be hard along the boards, etc. Guys don't skate by you in the NHL, they take the body. It's all will and heart, that's it. He might not have it.
