If the D can continue to play like this I don't see how Phillips gets back in the lineup.

Karlsson looked great and Borowiecki played a very solid game as well on top of dropping them with Lucic. IMO the best guy on the team to play with Karlsson consistently.

Seem Cameron is getting a lot of love for the tough call he made in scratching Phillips. If you are Phillips do you quietly ask for a trade? There is no way he can't see the writing on the wall here in Ottawa, he would be best served accepting a trade to a team like Anahiem who may need an experienced D man who can potentially come in and do his job and add to the depth on a cup contender. To me that's Phillips best move at this point.

He's pretty cemented in the community. Maybe he just considers retirement at the end of the season.

I think Phillips still has a place on this team, but as a bottom pairing guy. Wiercioch may be banged up after that crosscheck, you never know, there will be other injuries.
