MacLean has to be on thin ice. We're winning games solely because of goaltending and it won't last.

What the Diddle is with all the shots? Come on.

Karlsson on the 3rd goal was amazingly bad

Amazingly bad is Patrick Wiercioch IMO. Team needs to give more of a Dung than that, I have precious little free time and I don't really want to watch if they're gonna play like that.

Cowen was pretty weak tonight. Blame Karlsson all you want, but that third goal doesn't happen if he assets himself, moves his feet and gets on front of the guy as he slams him down on the ice. Instead he tried for a weak stick check as he coasts.

Andy should be really poised at them. So much for the defining game, the Central Park moment. Back to square one.

Phillips was not ready. Should have played Methot.

its pretty telling. i'm not sure why murray is sticking to his fun about another  goal scoring forward when the problem is that we're lacking a top defenseman. we're leaAnderson is already doing such a good job but you can't expect him to be superhuman. i've wondered if part of the blame doesn't rest in the defensive coaching but I think the solution may lie in either marc methot and if he perform well giving him an extention or making a trade for a solid top 4. I don't think one trade will be enough. might have to be two separate ones. just too many chances in our own zone.

I would put this at the feet of Murray/Dorion/Lee instead of the coach. I don't think it is leadership as this team played the same way when Alfie was here. It is simply a question of talent. The team has one true top 4 defenceman healthy and as the games get tighter, and the goalies get tired, this team will be exposed.

I would love to see a multi-player trade at this point. It has been the same terrible team defense for years - shake up this team.

We all knew this could happen if Zibanejad or Cowen regressed. We're lucky Cowen has rebounded at least.

Running around and getting hemmed in to our zone is not specifically a problem with our D. Team defence requires speed, effort and sacrifice. 3 out 5 players on the ice are forwards and most of ours are not playing well in our own end. The majority of defensive zone turnovers come from the forwards and our wingers seem to be slow to pinch off the boards and slow to pressure the points. They may want to block a shot once in awhile as well.

wait what??? why would we ever want to trade Ceci? i would be very cautious of dealing cowen also... i'd want another year of him healthy to make a decision on him. i would add zib to that list but it really depends, if it's ROR coming the other way then yes, i'd trade zib. i'm afraid he's a guy we would regret trading in a few years, obviously the return has to be really good and not just for a shake up.

The D-corps is definitely the problem. If you watch closely, it seems like the first wave of defensive play is not that bad, but once they get the puck they take 10 years to turn around and find an open man and by the time they do the forwards are already being checked by the other team.

I can't recall the last time I saw our team run around so badly in the defensive zone. It's laughable.
