I figured we could use a thread dedicated to discussion of our various fantasy leagues. If one already exists, my apologies.

I'm in a league that counts G, A, S, H, Blk, PIMs, FOW, and PPP. It also counts goalie stats like SV%, Saves, W, SO.

Look at these lopsided trades:

Karlsson and Marleau for Giordano and Landeskog.

Kopitar and Brodie for Moulson and Vatanen.

I just don't get it. The Kopitar one is particularly brutal. That's a downgrade on both players and the guy giving up Kopitar and Brodie is the one who proposed the trade. The guy giving up Karlsson also proposed his trade. Vertigo

I wouldn't do both but if giordano keeps it up as he did last year and so far this year then its not so bad. He was probsbly more valuable than Karlsson in your pool last year. Landeskog and Marceau are very close with those categories. But Karlsson has the potential to be the number one d and player so I wouldn't have done it.

Guys like Ovechkin, Backes and Shea Weber are beastly in those kinds of pool.

Big time. I'd take Ovie over Sid the Kid in that pool. Especially if I'm giving up faceoffs.

I have Weber. He's probably my only untouchable player.

I just picked up Bieksa (dropped Girardi). Anyone think he'll have a good year?

I have Stamkos, Carter, Vermette and Johansen at center. It's deadly.

would rather have Girardi when healthy in that format. He is a blocks and hits king. Bieksa should be OK but Edler is the guy there.

Last year in my league (very similar to yours) I had Bergeron, Stamkos, Backes, Weber, Byfuglien, Callahan, Doughty, etc. Just dominated, especially faceoffs hits blocks and shots.

I'm in really good shape in blocks and hits, so I give up a bit of that to get better in goals and assists (hopefully). We'll see.

Pascal Leclaire is currently owned in 0.1% of ESPN leagues. That means people have actually picked him up. Unreal.

Your hockey pools are weekly matchups? Both the hockey pools I'm in now are like that too. I find it's kind of bogus, since sometimes your best players might only get 2 games while others get 4. The format should likely be two week matchups instead of just one week to balance it out a bit.

I'm do for some good luck in my football pool...I'm 1-6!!!!!
