Jason Spezza - Trade Discussion

Spezza's list was made last summer when Nashville was 2nd last in the conference, and on top of that they have no wingers.
I don't get why there's even a fuss about it.

They are feeling butt hurt.

No idea.  Johnson?  Palat?  Don't know them well enough but they have some nice pieces.

I feel like getting either of those two is never going to happen. They both had breakout rookie years and figure to be core players. It's players like that that made Conacher expendable and a perfect "sell-high" candidate.

Don't know much about the source, but this is interesting. May force St Louis and Anaheim to up the ante. Neither of those two will be traded Thornton or Kesler.

Hmmm, I love a nice bidding war.

I haven't seen much from Dreger, Bobby Mac, Kyper, or even Buffet about T-Bay making a hard push for Spezza, but they have been rumoured to be in it, along with Dallas.

I basically just meant it'll happen in the next 10 days or so. No need to get impatient yet.

You would assume that it needs to get done before free agency opens up. If we leave it too late, and the Blues and/or other potential destinations find other ways to fill their needs, we could be stuck. I predict it gets done tomorrow.

It could come down to a game of chicken between Anaheim, st-Louis and ottawa. There's 3 1st round picks there and I bet Anaheim rather give up their picks than ours. Maybe they'll see if the blues are likely to pull the trigger or not. My guess right now is it's on the floor on draft day. I'd love it to be before. What time does the draft start at?

The draft starts at 7:00pm ET on June 27th.
