That ceremony was to honour the Canadian Forces.. not to be a joke..
Oh Prager...

 Facepalm

That ceremony may not be a joke but the rally certainly is.  Lighten up.   I wasn't making fun of the ceremony.  Plus I do all my remembering on Remembrance Day.

To be fair here there are many veterans of other wars that think this ceremony is a joke and diminishes the sacrifices they made and are quite angry.

Just out of curiosity, how do they think the ceremony diminishes their sacrifices? I'm asking out of legitimate interest.

The anger comes because this day of honour celebrates the afghan mission only and they're upset that this one mission was singled out for a celebration when theirs wasn't.

They feel it elevates the afghan mission over others by singling it out for this celebration.

Understood. Thanks for replying. I personally take issue with the oft-cited reason for military intervention- that every Canadian soldier is fighting for our freedom. I think it cheapens what they're actually doing (which has nothing to do with Canadian freedom).

Nothing to do with the Ottawa Senators (past, present, or tidbit). I was just curious what you meant.

Kypreos "Spezza will probably be moved like a rental. Prices will be like that of a rental. Sens are looking for a big return"

I know it's Kypreos, but even he doesn't usually contradict himself.  He will be moved "like a rental -- that implies, to me, that the return won't be all that great.

Or is he suggesting that the Sens will be disappointed in the return?

It will be a cold day in hell.. before I believe anything that comes from Nick Kypreos..

Does either team have a PPG player? Or a huge point producing centre?

Hell the West Final could very well be LA-Min. Does either team have a PPG centre?

No.. but they have deep teams with really good defense -- and goaltending. What 3 of those things do the Sens have right now.. that is going into next season.. None of the above.

Apparently Melnyk is part owner in this bar. It's where the Hard Rock Café on York St used to be..

That's why the Sens are building towards that. You can't build towards that with Spezza.

Both have a Vezina calibre goalie.  Something we did not have this year.
But did have last year...

#BlameTheGoalie

Sens are at a crossroads of sorts... gonna be a big summer... huge impacts...

They did have last year ... until round 2. Anderson was very pedestrian against the Pens. It wasn't Spezza coming back that killed the Sens last year, it was Anderson coming back down to Earth.

I voted a lot. Difference is now 10,000 votes

Probably a lot of anti-Sens votes there..

Some people say he talked about it before the trade deadline, others say it was during the exit interviews.

I'd rather have Bonino in a package, though DSP was great last game. Make it happen, Murphy.

According to reports, he didn't ask for one so much as say that he "might look favourably" on a trade. He's hedging his bets (at least it sounds that way). Either way, it happened at the exit interview.

Would be solid... not sure Anahiem is going to touch that roster though if they make it to the cup finals or win it.  Might be looking somewhere else, they have a good thing going on there.
