Keep'er in here for now, pre game Bobby Mac suggested that the Sens and Murray are not looking for a rental but more of a core player with some experience and can put the puck in the net. I keep looking at Winnipeg and the same 2 names keep coming up in Ladd and Kane. What does it take to get them?

If you get one of those 2 you know the roster player going the other way is Greening, you assume that a D man (Wiercioch) needs to be shipped out, and there is a prospect that will have trouble cracking the lineup (Pageau).

Greening, Wiercioch, and Pageau for one of Kane or Ladd... does that get it done? That has to be close.

Kane is signed to 2017/18 @ $5.25M/year. Ladd is signed to 2015/16 at $4.4M/year.

If we're looking to make a run in the next two years, Ladd would be sweet. Kane is a "proceed with caution" kinds of guy... but I think he'll be a stud in the long run eventually.

Will be interesting to see what comes of all this.

Now, back to the game....

Proceed with caution and stud in the long run eventually -- that adds up to $5.25M and going up when the cap goes to $70+M. What a league!
