Subban has an ego... same as Kadri.. I have no issue with his goal celebration.. but as he was walking off of the ice.. he pounded his chest and grabbed his jersey taunting Sens fans as he went off the ice. That resulted in a brawl in the stands..
Actions like that are not appreciated by fans or other players.. and I would imagine his teammates don't appreciate that either. I see his act wearing thin in a few years.. if not now.
He is a good young defenseman that needs to learn what tact is, and how to be a professional player. Actions like that belong in junior hockey. He wants to be an adult.. then act like one..
Subban is a little over the top, sure, and I'm not a fan of that. Don't like it when Neil does his "raise the roof" actions either.
I find Subban to be a very selfish player. When he scored that goal against the Sens in the playoffs he gets back to the bench all jacked up, but it really looked like he was celebrating *himself*. The other Habs players on the bench pretty much ignored him. Picking on Turris was another low point -- what did that prove? That he was big and tough and wouldn't take it any more? Then do it when *before* the game had already been decided Honestly, I thought he did it just to get to the showers early. And the jersey thing last night -- I've only seen that in international competitions. He's a professional hockey player; please don't tell me he bleeds bleu-blanc-rouge because he doesn't. Yapping to the refs all the time is another thing I despise. Darcy Tucker used to do it and I hated that with a passion, even when he was in Montreal (and I was still a Habs fan). And I also hate Subban's patented flying-as5-hipchecks. Trust me, Neil hasn't forgotten and it will come back.
OK, I don't like Subban.
