Yeah, Cowen's been better than he was in the first 30 games (just think on that number for a little while) but he's hardly been out best. He's been paying with Karlsson, remember? I am still quite concerned about his lack of physicality.

He averages 3 hits per game.

Lack of physicality? With Cowen? He's using his size all the time now - it was before that he wasn't.

I wouldn't give him lip service unless I thought he was playing well, I was pretty hard on him when he was playing like an ECHLer.

It's not like this site wasn't hating on Cowen hard here so pretty sure everyone is pretty unbias when they say he's been as solid as anyone on the backend the last 18 games/month.

Karlsson has plenty of gaffes, he never gets hate. He's had a bad year yet is putting up 46 in 48 so he'll be forgiven

Sorry but you take a guy like Wayne Simmonds who everyone loves and would kill to have on their team and he's black so wtf? Mendes is so full of garbage, I'm sure he can find a stat for us being racist though.

He's been better, for sure, but I take exception to saying he's been the Sens' best D-man. And I still maintain that he has not been as physical (either initiating or absorbing/powering through) as I've seen him in the past.

Well, you're hating on him (Mendes) and he's brown, so that must be why you hate him, you racist.   

Truthfully, I liked Mendes -- actually, I used to like him more when he was on TV; not a fan of him on the radio (his voice is a bit annoying). But he writes well.

Don't forget, he also grew up a Habs fan (me too, but he still carries his Fan Club Membership card and I never had one).

What if Karlsson taunted the Habs fans in Mtl after scoring a winning goal. His life would be in danger there.

Subban has an ego... same as Kadri.. I have no issue with his goal celebration.. but as he was walking off of the ice.. he pounded his chest and grabbed his jersey taunting Sens fans as he went off the ice. That resulted in a brawl in the stands..

Actions like that are not appreciated by fans or other players.. and I would imagine his teammates don't appreciate that either. I see his act wearing thin in a few years.. if not now.

He is a good young defenseman that needs to learn what tact is, and how to be a professional player. Actions like that belong in junior hockey. He wants to be an adult.. then act like one..
