Yup, hasn't been a good year for MacLean, his decisions have not worked out like they did last year but the Sens are way tougher to coach this year as well. Not everyone is or had bought in.

I've bought in. To the fact that "Mac" is a stupid jacka$s with an even stupider looking mustache.NEELY wrote:Yup, hasn't been a good year for MacLean, his decisions have not worked out like they did last year but the Sens are way tougher to coach this year as well. That's what sh... umm, never mind.shabbs wrote:PMac: We don't play hard enough for long enough...
The flopping around was very strange. Then the look on his face on the bench after getting pulled, wow. I would not want him on my daughter's peewee team right now. Zero confidence, if not negative confidence. That *does* translate to how the team plays in front of him.NEELY wrote:
Ummm, I think a lot of people really didn't assume anything in terms of who would be starting but everyone pretty much flat out said "put Lehner in, Anderson was awful in the win last night". Even the biggest Anderson supporters and the biggest Lehner critics are past the point of personal bias... it's obvious who should be in the nets and given a lot of rope but hey, we aren't the coach.
Best thing Murray can do right now is move Anderson to Florida for Clemmensson and a pick. His value is close to worthless at this point but there is one place that needs a goaltender longer term and that is indeed Miami. Just clear this sh*t storm that's about to hit the locker room.
Lehner is not going to get a SO every game, neither is he going to win every game, or even have a good game every time out. But even on his off days he did better than Anderson has done overall (something like .909 SV% when he, by his own admission, had a bad game).shabbs wrote:I think PMac is trying to catch lightning in a bottle with either of our goalies, hoping one of them clicks and goes on a run...
It may be time to give Lehner a few starts in a row and use Andy if there are any back to back situations.
That's exactly right, always been a guy that rubs people the wrong way when things go poorly and people in Ottawa are seeing it first hand now.wprager wrote:The flopping around was very strange. right now.... nobody knows. but with the budget in place and a new contract the man has a sense of job security. no way would melnyk approve of another coach coming in. unless it's Cameron.... and god forbid that ever happens.SpezDispenser wrote:It's not even that Mac made a stupid decision going back to back with Anderson, leaving him on after the 3rd goal was a free goal for Vancouver. Really, what are you thinking?
