That's pretty challenged considering Mac coached Spezza to a ridiculously good season where he and Karlsson pretty much led the team to the playoffs.  Murray would say - yeah, I know who you have, you've had him and had success.  Do your Cussing job.

This is becoming pretty crazy around here lol.
Spezza always plays well for new coaches to start, always.  Then he reverts, this is why he is a coach killer.  6 NHL coaches in 9-10 NHL seasons.  That's insane.

He could coach the Sens last year with guys will to learn and buy in, this year he has a leader and captain that refuses to.
Harstburg doesn't count, neither does Paddock. Both challenged. Murray left by his own volition. Really the only coaches I can remember was Martin, Murray (his own choice to leave) and MacLean. Who am I missing?

Glad you have the ability to pick and choose who has or hasn't coached the Sens lol.

Fact Spezza has had 6 NHL coaches in 9 full seasons. Can't be argued.

Alfie had 1 coach from 95-04, lol.  Basically a decade.  Alfie is about the most coachable player in the NHL.  Spezza is the opposite.  Started in Jr. when he couldn't stick with a team, kept getting traded.

And Jesus, the day MacLean was hired you could have said Spezza has had 6 coaches in 7 years, lol. That's honestly unbelievable.

Honestly at the end of the day Alfie leaving is the best thing to happen for 2 reasons. 1, the Sens got Ryan and 2, they got to see Spezza for what he is before it was too late.

Murray's fault for most of them - definitely Hartsburg and Paddock - horrible coaches. There's a reason they haven't coached as a HC again. Spezza could have been superman and those two would have been fired - seriously...what fault is that of Spezza's that Hartsburg didn't know how to coach and Paddock realized very quickly that he was riding Murray's coattails?

Or Clouston? How is that Spezza's fault? The guy had no ability to communicate with anyone. Heatley asked out because of it, at least Spezza stayed around.

Where's Alfie in all this? A saint as usual?

Funny stuff...you're a strange one sometimes there Neely.

I'm not either, blind hope at this point but as the season goes on and if this continues lol, Spezza will be wishing to be in another city.

I'm just stating the facts. Spezza 6 coaches in 7 years the day MacLean was hired, 6 coaches in 9 seasons to this point. I'm glad people are starting to run out of excuses because maybe the organization is as well along with chances.

If the year continues to go as is and Murray doesn't make a move to better this team for the future then you have to start questioning that.

Basically put no one in their right mind would extend Spezza in Ottawa right now, if you don't extend him why is he even here?

Let things play out.
That's where I was trying to go eventually. Spezza's injured and playing like crap. Goalies have been inconsistent. Dung happens. Our D is young and inexperienced, no one questions that. The one bright thing is our "2nd" line with Turris and co. I'm still hoping things come together and that the team finds some chemistry. I'm not buying this trade Spezza crap and leadership crap. Way too early for that stuff. I hate losing as much as the next fan, but we're not in the room making decisions. So we wait and watch.

GO SENS GO!
