Really?

The other thing about Anderson is he is not competitive at all... like no fight. If he's in the zone he's impossible to beat, if he's struggling there is nothing that seems to get him back on track. The coach tried the confidence in his #1 thing, he put him back in there despite Lehner outplaying him in a BIG way.

I think that ship has likely sailed due to the Bryz signing, brah.
Still in the AHL, isn't he? Not exactly killing it, either.

Body of work... everytime Anderson goes to a new team he lights it up as well. Seems like a guy that always needs some form of motivation outside of himself.

Can we all also try to have patience with our young players? Only the injured ones are patients.

One good year, one bad. Wax on, was off. He will set a new NHL record next season wherever he is. Book it. Sarcasm

Edmonton called him up. Edmonton might get to the point with Dubnyk/Bryz that they feel the need to swap Dubnyk out...but who knows with that waste of a franchise.

Honestly you really have to make a move right now just to make a move.

Moving Anderson for Dubnyk and a draft pick (could even be a 3rd and 5th) makes the most sense.

1. It gets everyones attention.
2. It gives Lehner the goal
3. It avoids the season long headache that will be "who's in goal today".
4. It stabilizes the team a little

Yah I don't see how they can possibly keep Dubnyk in there long term with about zero motivation.

He sucks like a vacuum. I'd rather have Lawson back Lehner up FFS.

Yah I think you're missing the point entirely.

You're trying to make a panic trade to mix the team up, but you're getting balls value back. No good.

Haha oh man, Anderson's value isn't going to increase for one. Two, getting a 2nd rounder or a couple of mid round draft picks is some value. Three, the team needs to be shaken up and this would be a good way to do it. Four, if you think things are bad in Ottawa now the chatter in the media and around the team with Anderson and Lehner all year is going to get to the point where people are going to be begging Murray to move Anderson in Feb/March.

Do it now, get it over with, get something useful back, and you still have a decent backup.

As for Lawson being a better goaltender than Dubnyk, lol, right.

Don't think the Sens are missing a Chris Kelly right now and even then it looks like Grant is a Chris Kelly in the making.

And if you want to call tranding Anderson a panic move then sure, because it's time to panic.  It's still a move that doesn't hurt the team short or long term and it helps avoid a lot of problems.  Getting value back isn't the biggest concern in Ottawa right now, getting the team back on track is. it won't be any worse than the Bishop deal has turned out to be.
