Yes because the habs are so much better and the jets aren'tworse than us...Hoags wrote:Lucky the Oilers exist or we'd be the biggest joke in Canada from the NHL
Holy crap!! Rewind the tape, the puck was behind him and he held up Bergeron, Bergeron gets loose and gets the puck, you need your wingers to support you on the draw when you are up against the best faceoff man in the game.NEELY wrote:His own man beat him, he lost the drawn, lol. How can you even blame someone else other than Spezza there?Oglethorpe wrote:You mean when he won the faceoff and tied up Bergeron, but Phillips and Michalek turned away and left the puck behind Spezza. Your blind hatred for anything Spezza is forcing me to defend him. He is playing poorly but you continue to take it to such extremes it forces defence of him.NEELY wrote:Aside from him getting physically dominated on the first goal, yah, great period. Did his line even have a shot? I mean is the best people can come up with for Spezza at this point is "well, he's trying, you can tell". haha, has that what it's come down to?wprager wrote:You're correct.NEELY wrote:We must be watching different games. EDIT: Not that it could have gotten much worse.
Check your PVR. You must be watching an old game. Not saying this is Vintage Spezza but he is hustling out there, taking pucks away, winning face-offs.
Gryba is standing around. Cowen keeps overcommitting going for the big hit. Anderson is letting the first 2 goals in. Team is playing like they expect it. Karlsson hasn't done anything Karlsson-esque yet.
EXACTLY! lol You have to tie up your man. It's pretty basic man.Oglethorpe wrote:Holy crap!! He tied him up long enough for someone to come in for support, any longer and he would have been called for interference or holding.NEELY wrote:EXACTLY! lol You have to tie up your man.Oglethorpe wrote:Holy crap!! I wish MacArthur would give Condra his hands back, so many missed chances for him this year, but I love the way he plays.Number Twenty Nine wrote:Five more MacArthurs please....
That's the thing...he's just a top 6 guy with some skill. It's not that they're easy to find, but they're not as hard as people think. We need to add a guy like that to the roster at forward and one at D. In fact, I wouldn't at all mind changing a full pairing on D. I'll keep Karlsson, Methot, Phillips and Boro. The rest can Diddle off.Number Twenty Nine wrote:Five more MacArthurs please....
LOL is that serious? If there is one spot on the ice that a turn over is probably ok it was right there. Anyways, yes, Turris is a much better hockey player than Spezza.Oglethorpe wrote:Nice blind drop pass to the Bruins from Turris. He really is the new #1 centre for this team.
