Nice blind drop pass to the Bruins from Turris. He really is the new #1 centre for this team.

We need to create more chances and take more shots though. We'll score once in ever 13 shots or so on Rask - and we're sitting at 13 right now. Drive the net and shoot the puck.

LOL is that serious?  If there is one spot on the ice that a turn over is probably ok it was right there.  Anyways, yes, Turris is a much better hockey player than Spezza.

That said, Spezza just made a fantastic play there on the back check.
Nice a 7M 3rd line centre. Fantastic.

Relax, they're fine. The team has looked pretty good other than between the Bruins 1st goal and the Neil goal. Just a matter of getting some confidence back again. A good 3rd period, win or lose, and this could be the game that begins to turn things around.

EDIT: Not that it could have gotten much worse.
We must be watching different games.  He's done as a legit threat 5 on 5.
You're correct.

Check your PVR.  You must be watching an old game.  Not saying this is Vintage Spezza but he is hustling out there, taking pucks away, winning face-offs.

Gryba is standing around.  Cowen keeps overcommitting going for the big hit.  Anderson is letting the first 2 goals in.  Team is playing like they expect it.   Karlsson hasn't done anything Karlsson-esque yet.
Aside from him getting physically dominated on the first goal, yah, great period.  Did his line even have a shot?  I mean is the best people can come up with for Spezza at this point is "well, he's trying, you can tell". haha, has that what it's come down to?
You just have a hate on for the guy, we get it. He won the faceoff but no one picked it up quickly. He was double shifted by PMac in the second period for what reason, exactly? He is playing a good game.

You can only tie him up for a second or two before they call you for holding or interference. It's pretty basic.

The guys behind you are supposed to get the puck. They didn't.

Must have missed it. I was just thinking how slow he was last period.

Attaboy Cap'n Giggles again! Keeps control of the puck, pass to Cowen, keeps Rask's attention asking him about the weather while standing at the side of his crease.
