By the way, do pre-season games count for suspensions?  Like the automatic 10 for Clarkson.  If they don't, then does he have to sit out at all until October?

Kid can shoot and has nice moves.  I loved that one-timer against Boston in the pre-season a couple years ago.  If he can do that on a regular basis we've got the Alfie replacement right there.  At least for those one-timers from the left circle on the PP.  

Karlsson-Wiercioch on the back end and three big bodies in Zibanejad-Spezza-Ryan up front.  If we can get any traction going on the PP we would be such a much harder team to play against.  Right now there's little fear of crossing the line with late hits and such, but if we could start clicking at 22% and better then other teams won't be as eager to tempt fate.

Last year if they were 22% on the PP they would have had 10 goals more (in 48 games).  An extra 6 points in the standings would have had us tied with Boston for 4th.  And if one of those extra points came in a regulation win against the Bs then we would have had home ice in the 1st.
