Why should the West End have priority over the South?  Lots of empty land in the South too.

I certainly won't be going to any games in 20 years.  I'll be watching the ultra-high-def 3-d image projected directly into my cortex while sleeping.  And I'll be able to pick whatever outcome for the game, too, as I will be living in The Old Folks Home

But $12 per spot x 41 (plus concerts) is on-going income, whereas if he builds on it the city will get the on-going tax revenue while Melnyk will get a (relatively) small, one-time profit.  And, of course, he'd have to build an underground or above ground multi-storied parking garage.

So this thread is pretty good for finding the doomsday budget faction.  Already knew about zsandy, and it looks like Hoags and Tim were two others. SSF just plays both sides for fun and profit, as usual.

So I'm not sure who Rooney was fighting for four months.
