I'm not sold on Lazar right now as i want to see him take that extra step next year to  become that top 6 type forward next year in edm next year.
so i actually picked Puempel over Ceci. just find the forwards a sexier pick against a d-man. lots to wonder about Ceci's game. Puempel coiuld find his way in the line-up next year at one point. he's my pick

I went with Lazar because I've bought into all the hype.

The Oilers announcer who's also a big Oil Kings fan said multiple times on the radio that Lazar would be AT WORST a 2nd line RW...and that the Oilers should have taken him 7th overall.

That's neat to hear. At worst a 2nd line RW...sounds fantastic.

Look at his stats from last year - he's right there with the 18, 19 and 20 year olds, very, very impressive.

Also said Henrik Samuelsson (linemate) didn't pass the puck enough.

Kind of shocked I was the only one to select Prince...apparently we really like our 1st round pick this year.

He's coming up for me soon, but yes, I really bought into the hype of Lazar.

wouldn't he be a little biased though? I dunno, it sounds all great but i place more value on scouting reports.

Ha you read my mind. Was coming to post the exact same thing. Twice now bob stauffer has said lazar is the real deal and says 'sens know what they're doing'

He broke Crosby and Stamkos' scoring records in some international tournaments 2-3 years ago IIRC.
Playing shutdown centre roles and 2nd PP minutes scoring 30 goals in 45 games is very intriguing.

Until I actually see him play -- and not 3-3 or on a stacked line in a Development Camp, I really cannot buy into all the hype. Right now our greatest need is a RHS defenseman and I've heard enough about how Ceci has been improving. I went with Ceci.


Plus he's got a hot looking sister who I'm will get lots of camera time as she celebrates his goals.
