I am just really sick of the media (especially LeBrun) starting this Alfie to Boston crap. It happened at the deadline and it's happening again.

Like everyone else here I am sure Alfie is my favorite player. I generally don't care much for individual players and care more for my team but #11 is the big exception. I am hoping to take my son to a game(now that he is almost old enough) to see him play here in Ottawa and maybe somehow finally get his autograph.

Even though I know it won't happen the almost non-constant media writing that Alfie could play elsewhere pisses me off to end.

The Senators nickle and dime bull$hit is only helping to fuel that speculation, isn't it?

The Alfie should have been signed mere hours after saying he'll be back.

i am getting the vibe he is not interested in being on this team anymore.

Yeah, seriously, don't worry about it. Media people need to write stories and this one is one that people who have no idea what they're talking about are getting excited about.

I'd be stunned - and I mean STUNNED if he signed anywhere else. He won't. He'll sign a 2 year, 10 million dollar package here. The end.

Planning to look at Lazar, Ceci, Prince and Puempel. So can probably focus on another guy or two.

Alfie made some Donald Fehr worthy statements during the lockout.  He might be pissed off seeing the team getting nickel and dimed and being on a "budget".  If he thinks the Sens can make a push and Eugene is being cheap he might be looking elsewhere.

He might just be calling BS on the whole "crying poor" thing, we just had a lockout with owners crying poor when we all know most of them aren't.

Depending on how it's handled he will always be a hero here.  They should have a statue of him out front of the arena years from now.  No one hates Bourque in Boston or Sundin in Toronto.

Alfie's agent is JP Barry, he is going to drag this out to the limit.
