NHL 2013 Draft

That draft was insane. Joe Pavelski in 7th round, Enstrom and Byfuglien in 8th, Moulson in 9th

Yeah, not too shabby.

There seems to be lots of talk about Hartman as the guy you never want to play against in this draft... man I hope that's the guy the Sens land because he's the type of guy that the Hab/Bruins/Leafs will all hate and that's what you need with a skilled team. Just nab this guy man, just do it!

What are people's predictions for the top 5? I'm not as into the draft as others, but:

1.McKinnon
2. Jones
3. Drouin
4. Barkov
5. Lindholm

Sounds like the easy picks. Mguire mentioned Nurse being a late riser too.

I think it might be if teams dont Flip picks,

I could even see Barkov going second. My guess is the panthers will pick a forward with their pick

Not in the same kind of way. Conacher is a guy that teams hate but can put up with... Hartman is a guy that will do the same thing but turned up about 10 notches and actually inflict some physical punishment. Conacher will never play the game above 185-maybe 190lbs. Hartman will be destroying guys and the other team will be looking over their shoulders at the wrecking ball at 210lbs when full grown. That's a huge difference right there and IMO something that is so important because of the division they play out of.

Just my opinion picking Hartman but he's no where near the same kind physical player as Conacher.

If you are 190lbs at 18 years old and only 5'10... you can bet anything you own when he is at full strength he will be playing the game way North of 200lbs. I do see the Matt Cooke type for sure, you just hope he is a little more composed.

Official combine stats for Hartman:

Height 5’11.5″ Weight 185.5 lbs

After a full season of hockey, 185 is about right if you would normally be walking around at 190. When he's 24, 25 he will be 205-210lbs. Weight is fairly easy to project if there are no growth spurts.

If Hartman is anything like Gallaguer sign me the Diddle up

You're right. i wasn't trying to show anything with those stats, just putting them out there. I like him a lot better knowing that he's 5'11.5, if he's stocky like Crosby with a mean streak that will be hard to handle.

I don't think he was invited to Ottawa for the mini-combine, though, if that means anything.

Also I am a conspiracy theorist like this, so I will go by what the Sens have posted on their site so far. They have drat profiles every day, and have posted Hartman's and Rychel's. They have not had one for Erne yet. I am interested to see if they will.
