It would get Melnyk the hell out of here. If the Sens have turned into a hopeless franchise like some other teams I rip on then what's the point of supporting it? To watch hockey in my own town? Really, really frustrating day to be a Sens fan. Maybe Alfie was sending a msg to everyone.

If the team isn't willing to shell out dough to get over the hump, I'm not willing to shell out dough to support them. We've shown support long enough, this is a slap in the face.

Well we'll see what happens now.  The NHL may force Melnyk to sell or take on additional partners.  New Jersey was in trouble but I think they sorted that out.

I don't want to trigger some firesale and have the team trade Karlsson for draft picks or some Dung.  Hopefully now that Eugene's money problems are public we'll have a solution quickly.
