Top two SV% right now... Vokoun and Anderson.

1. Tomas Vokoun, PIT .957
2. Craig Anderson, OTT .950

Vokoun used to be Anderson's team mate in Florida. Budaj used to be Anderson's team mate in Colorado.

Difference is Anderson backed up Vokoun in Florida. And now the student has become the master.

Quick turnaround for Pittsburgh who are playing like Donkey. We might have a shot at winning one of the first two. Maybe...

Spezza not making the trip to Pittsburgh. Given that they are not paying game 2 until Friday I don't think this is anything more than he's not playing in the opener. He may want to have himself checked out after the recent hard practices, and fly up separately on Wednesday to continue practicing with the team.

But if he doesn't, I don't see him starting Game 3.

More from BooBoo: If the Leafs win Sunday in Ottawa will be a 3 pm game. If they lose night game. Could be another 2 day break between 3 and 4 #Sens

They are just trying to see what it would be like if the NHL playoffs finished *after* the NBA ones.

Spezza ruled out for game 2?
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=423258

However they replayed the actual quote on the radio (it's not in the article) and, as usual, PMac said "at this time". So he's not going to play on Friday at this time but continues to skate. Or something like that.

I very much doubt PMac would pull a trick *that* blatant, but today is just Wednesday. I could easily see him saying that Spezza had a good couple of days and is looking real close, tomorrow. So I'm not 100% ruling it out but it really looks like they are going to activated him on Sunday.

Just like I had predicted all along. Spezza the savior.

If it's to look like Karlsson I'd rather him not playing

Karlsson's #1 physical skill is his skating; his hockey IQ may be his #1 skill but he can't execute on what his brain is telling him, then that hockey IQ won't be a difference maker. In a few years, perhaps, he will be able to adjust his IQ to match injuries, fatigue or whatever, but not yet.

Spezza is much more experienced as a player -- and as a bad back sufferer. He was never the fastest skater out there so that's going to be less of an issue. If he has trouble bending over then it may affect his face offs. But I don't think this will be a 50% Spezza making mistakes like Karlsson was last night.

As expected, Spezza is wearing a white jersey for the optional practice, which tends to indicate he'll be playing. However it's an optional practice, so who knows.

JOB is also wearing a white jersey. So who knows, eh?
