Heh. I'm sure he's worried. He's sucked Donkey against the B's this year. So who knows. More turmoil for the Leafs... I love it. He made it worse himself in the end.SpezDispenser wrote:shabbs wrote:Phil Kessel ducked the media yesterday... which created even more of a media issue. He's required to make himself available to the media as far as I understand. He should have just stood out there, mumbled some crap and then left. He's never been much of a talker and gives crappy interviews. Now the Toronto media are all over it, suggesting he's showing fear etc... gong show.
I thought that showed fear as well.
Let's start by facing facts. Right now, the Bruins kind of stink. They are 2-5-2 in their last nine games, which means they have just two wins in nine games. And those two wins aren't exactly impressive, coming against two Sun Belt squads that had long since given up hope for this season. The final NHL standings show Florida and Tampa Bay dead last and third to last, respectively; beating them in the final week doesn't count for much.
In fact, a good portion of the Bruins' wins look a little shaky. Despite finishing with 62 points (third in the conference, fifth in the league), they built much of that record early in the season and against the portion of the league not continuing to play into May. They were a middling 12-10-5 against the seven playoff teams. Even worse, they finished a paltry 1-6-3 against top seeds Pittsburgh (0-3-0), Montreal (1-2-1) and Washington (0-1-2).

I'm personally hoping they get their asses handed to them, but in reality, I think it will be a pretty close series that will likely go 7 games. The big unknown with the Leafs is how the team will handle the post season in general, especially Reimer. Bruins have been there done that. Rask also has questions but has at least played a number of post season games with the B's.

Seriously doubt it goes long. I think the Leafs are about to be beaten soundly - or I hope.

I can certainly understand the "hope", but why do you *think* so?

Better D, better forward depth, better system, bigger, better goaltender, their star players aren't scared crapless of the media and getting hit. It all adds up.
